coverageThird generation mobiles will have new range of features made possible by higher data rates and new technologies. Many companies show their concept phones in their web sites and most of the are showing live picture. Mobiles ranging from computers to gameboys and web browsers to car units can be connected to each other with Bluetooth wireless point-to-point standard and LAN type of networking can be done with HomeRF SWAP standard. Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) will connect the mobiles to internet and there will be several operating platform, which link the applications for future portable devices. Microsoft Window CE and Symbian EPOC will be some of the operating systems for 3G media phones.
